Sash Windows

Sliding sash windows are a historic style that preserves the beauty of period homes. With traditional style and modern technology, timber sash windows are the ideal choice for conservation areas. Everest uPVC vertical sliding sash windows maintain this authentic appearance of timber, but without the maintenance and are available in woodgrain finishes which look as good as real wood. Our uPVC sash windows are A rated for energy efficiency and include a tilt function for easy cleaning, a perfect combination of performance and practicality.

Practical Design

Both our timber and uPVC windows are authentic to the traditional sash design, which has been popular for centuries. We have kept with the characteristic deep bottom rail, Georgian bars, central transom and fitch lock. Sliding sash windows can be opened at either the top or bottom for ventilation and to keep your home secure, a restrictor can be engaged to give ventilation without needing to open your window completely. For practicality both sashes on uPVC can be tilted inwards for easy cleaning.

Innovative

There are two types of opening mechanism available on sliding sash windows. Our uPVC sash windows are fitted with a modern weighted spring design called spiral balance, whilst on timber, you can choose between the authentic cords and weights, designed to balance the weight of the sash or the spiral balance opening mechanism. Both have been precisely engineered to ensure smooth running and easy finger touch opening, making it effortless to open.
